Destiny Chairman Harunur Rashid and Managing Director Rafiqul Amin are the main accused in the cases.

ACC Commissioner Shahabuddin Chuppu told reporters on Thursday the chargesheets in the cases against Destiny Multipurpose Cooperative Society and Destiny Tree Plantation Ltd would be submitted to the court shortly.

He said 19 people have been charged in Destiny Multipurpose Society case and 46 in Destiny Tree Plantation case.

Chuppu said Harunur Rashid, a retired Lieutenant General of the army, was involved in money laundering. “He was fully aware of the money laundering incident.”

ACC filed the case on July 31 last year with the Kalabagan Police Station in Dhaka charging the accused of embezzling and siphoning off Tk 32.85 billion.

The commission formed two investigation committees over the matter.
