They were seen entering her official residence, Ganabhaban in Dhaka in a car around 6:30pm on Sunday and came out around 8pm.
The family members included Sarkar’s wife Archana Sarkar, daughters Sushmita Sarkar and Senjuti Sarkar, and sons-in-law Ranjit Debnath and Bijay Kumar Pal.
Their children were with them too.
The prime minister is also scheduled to meet on Wednesday the family of murdered Narayanganj City Councillor Nazrul Islam, who was abducted on the same day as Chandan Sarkar.

The meeting took place after the High Court earlier in the day ordered arrest of the three former RAB officers who allegedly are involved in the abduction and murder of seven people including Sarkar.
The family while deposing before the government’s investigation committee on Saturday had demanded arrest of the three officers.
They claimed these officials had played major role in killing the seven.
On Sunday, the court issued the order after hearing a writ petition filed by Sarkar’s son-in-law Bijay Kumar Pal and two others.
Advocate Chandan Sarkar, Awami League supporter Nazrul and five others were abducted on Apr 27.
Nazrul and his four aides were whisked away after leaving the Narayanganj court premises that day. Sarkar and his driver ‘Ibrahim’, who left the court right after them, were also abducted around the same time.
Dead bodies of all of them were found floating on the Shitalakhyya River in Narayanganj over two days on April 30 and May 1.
Sarkar’s family suspects that he and Ibrahim were killed because they witnessed Nazrul’s abduction.
