Dhaka, Jan 27 (bdnews24.com) – Najir Hossain Pramanik, father of convicted JMB militant Siddiqul Islam alias Bangla Bhai, has appealed to the President for the life of his son, our correspondent says.
He made the appeal for clemency on January 25 through the Kashimpur jail authority, Bangla Bhai's elder brother Rafiqul Islam told bdnews24.com Saturday.
Rafiqul Islam, his sister Razia, nephew Rahman and Bangla Bhai's parents-in-law met Bangla Bhai Thursday.
Bangla Bhai expressed the wish to meet the press before his execution, Rafiqul added.
He also wished to meet his son Saad bin Siddique and wife Fahima who have been in jail for the last 22 months for his crimes.
