The Liberation War Museum can play an even greater role in preserving and presenting the history of 1971, Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan has said.
On Monday, he pointed to scope for expanding its narratives and collections to make them more comprehensive and objective.
Following a visit to the museum in Agargaon, Azam said: “The current presentations and collections of the Liberation War Museum can play a significant role in highlighting the glorious history of the nation.
“But there is an opportunity to make the museum even more enriched and objective by incorporating the various events and information of the Liberation War more extensively.”
Museum trustees Mofidul Haque and Dr Sarwar Ali gave a tour of the facility's different galleries to the minister and the accompanying delegation on the day.
State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain and Secretary Ashraful Islam were present at the time.
The minister was briefed about different mementoes, documents, and historical presentations of the Liberation War preserved there during the visit.
