Three deputy commissioners reassigned with promotions

Cox’s Bazar gets new district administrator as reshuffle spans three ministries

Deputy commissioners of Cox’s Bazar, Chapainawabganj and Madaripur have been recalled and given new responsibilities in different ministries with promotions.

On Monday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification confirming the changes.

Separately, another notification appointed Md A Mannan, the personal secretary to the chairman of the National Pay Commission, as the new DC of Cox’s Bazar.

Mohammad Salahuddin, the outgoing DC of Cox’s Bazar, has been promoted and posted as joint secretary in the finance ministry, where he will assist the National Pay Commission.

Chapainawabganj DC Md Abdus Samad has been posted as joint secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Madaripur DC Yeasmin Akter has been assigned as joint secretary at the Medical Education and Family Welfare Division.
