Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Md Nurul Islam has submitted 38 audit reports for the 2021-22 financial year to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The reports were presented at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon, confirmed Press Secretary Saleh Shibli.
“A total of 38 reports covering various government departments and agencies were submitted. The prime minister was briefed on the observations and recommendations regarding compliance and performance audits contained within these reports,” Shibli said.
Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, Finance Secretary Khairuzzaman Mozumder, and other high-ranking officials from relevant departments were present during the submission.
The audit reports were prepared in accordance with Article 128(1) of the Constitution and Section 5 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Additional Functions) Act, 1974.
