A media statement of the government announced the decision on Thursday.

The films are:

‘Khuni Billa’ produced by Shah Alamgir Bachchu and directed by Apurba Rana; ‘Pagol Tor Jonno Re’ produced and directed by Moin Biswas and ‘Kichhu Asha Kichhu Bhalobasa’ produced by Md Abdul Halim and directed by Mostafizur Rahman Manik, and ‘Nagad’ produced and directed by Khorshed Alam Khosru.

The statement said ‘Pagol Tor Jonno Re’ and ‘Kichhu Asha Kichhu Bhalobasa’ were submitted for the National Film Award by adding the parts censored by the Censor Board.

Members of the Jury Board for the award found proof of the discrepancy.

‘Khuni Billa’ and ‘Nagad’ were being screened in cinemas with the censored parts. The films were also being promoted with unauthorised posters.

The statement said the four films could not be shown anywhere from now on.
