Dhaka Stock Exchange turnover crosses Tk 10 billion after seven months

Turnover at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has crossed Tk 10 billion mark after seven-and-a-half months.

On Monday, turnover at the prime bourse stood at over Tk 10.02 billion, which was Tk 210 million more than the previous day.
 
More than Tk 10 billion trading was last recorded on Oct 14, 2014.
 
Shares worth Tk 10.98 billion were traded on that day.
 
DSE benchmark index DSEX gained 37 points to 4,624 on the second day of the week.
 
In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), all share price index CASPI rose around 57 points to 14,252.
 
CSE turnover stood at Tk 767.20 million, a slump of Tk 170 million.
 
DSE saw trading of 319 shares and mutual funds. Of them, 155 issues gained, 116 lost and 48 remained unchanged.
 
Top 10 gainers were KPCL, Summit Power, Grameenphone, Beximco Limited, Saif Power, Baraka Power, Summit Purbachal, United Power, Lafarge Surma Cement and MJL.
 
Of the 241 shares traded on Monday at CSE, 119 gained, 91 dropped and 31 retained earlier prices.
