Dhaka, April 15 (bdnews24.com)—Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus met US secretary of state Hillary Clinton at the state department in Washington on Thursday.
"They discussed his plans to transform health care in Bangladesh through the development of Health Management Centers," said a statement on the US embassy website.
Secretary Clinton is a long-time advocate of microcredit and expanding the availability of health care.
Yunus received the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to poverty alleviation through his Grameen Bank micro-credit programme.
