Security around the war crimes tribunal has been beefed up ahead of the verdict in ex-Jatiya Party minister Syed Mohammed Kaiser’s trial.

The second International Crimes Tribunal, (ICT) headed by justice Obaidul Hassan, is expected to start delivering the verdict anytime after 10am on Tuesday.
Additional RAB and police personnel have been deployed in and around the tribunal, situated at the old High Court premises.
Everyone including journalists are being subjected to a thorough search by law enforces before being allowed to enter the tribunal.
High Court Police Outpost OC Abdus Salam said additional forces have been deployed in the High Court and tribunal premises since early morning Tuesday.
Around 300 police personnel including plain cloth sleuths have been posted in the area.
Meanwhile, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been also on a strict vigil at the tribunal premises.
Its media wing’s Assistant Director Maksudul Alam said that they were ready to disperse any untoward incident over Tuesday’s verdict.
