MP’s son Rony, twin-murder suspect, sent to Kashimpur high security prison
MP Pinu Khan’s son Bakhtiar Alam Rony has been taken to Kashimpur jail from Dhaka.

Jailer Md Jannatul Farhad said Rony was brought to the High Security Prison-2 on Thursday evening.
He was arrested on charges of killing two people at Dhaka’s Eskaton two months ago.
Auto-rickshaw driver Yakub Ali and rickshaw-puller Abdul Hakim were killed when shots were randomly fired from his Land Cruiser Prado early on Apr 14.
Pinu Khan is the general secretary of women’s chapter of Awami League.
On May 31, police’s Detective Branch arrested Rony.
After a four-day remand, a court on May 13 sent him to prison.
According to media reports, Rony opened fire from his gun after becoming irritated by a slight traffic snarl.
On Wednesday, Rony’s friend Kamal Mahmud testified before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque.
He told the court that Rony had opened fire from his licensed pistol.
