The second war crimes tribunal of Bangladesh has started delivering its verdict on former Jatiya Party minister Syed Moahammed Kaiser for crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

The verdict is being delivered in Kaiser’s presence, who is up on the dock.
Earlier around 8.45am, the vehicle carrying him from the Dhaka Central Jail reached the tribunal. He was kept at the court's lock-up cell.
An hour later, Kaiser was taken to the courtroom.
The courtroom proceedings started shortly after 11am.
International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 Chairman Justice Obaidul Hassan started reading out the summary to the 484-page verdict then.
The other 2 judges Justice Md. Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Md. Shahinur Islam are also present in the tribunal.
Kaiser's son Syed Galib Ahmed and his brothers SABM Humayun and SKM Selim are also present in the courtroom.
A Muslim League leader during the 1971 Liberation War, Kaiser was later a minister of state in the government of military dictator Hussain Mohammed Ershad.
He has been charged with murder, massacre, rape, extortion, arson and torture in 16 counts.
