Two, including patient, die after ambulance hits tree in Dhamrai

Two, including one patient, were killed on Wednesday as an ambulance carrying them hit a roadside tree in Dhamrai Upazila of Dhaka; four more including the driver were injured.

The incident happened at the Bathuli area in Dhaka-Aricha Highway around 10:30am, said Dhamrai police inspector Dipak Kumar Saha.

The police have yet to identify the victims.

Dipak Kumar Saha told bdnews24.com that the patient was being taken to his home in Faridpur after being treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

“The two died instantly when the ambulance lost control and hit a tree in the Bathuli area,” said the inspector.

The injured were sent to the Manikganj Sadar Hospital, said inspector Dipak.
