Two killed in Nilphamari truck-microbus crash
Two people have been killed and three others injured after a collision between a truck and a microbus in Nilphamari.

The accident occurred around 5am on Wednesday on the Rangpur-Saidpur Highway in Saidpur Upazila’s Kamarpukur Union, said Saidpur Police Station OC Amirul Islam.
A microbus headed from Panchagar to Dhaka was hit from behind by the truck, the OC told bdnews24.com. Two of the passengers were killed instantly.
Police and fire service personnel from Saidpur and the Taraganj Highway Police Station rescued the wounded from the scene soon afterwards, OC Islam said.
The deceased have been identified as Mamunur Rashid (42) and Monirul Islam (40).
The wounded have been identified as Abu Sayid (29), Hanif (30) and Abdul Hai (34).
They were first admitted to the Taraganj Health Complex, but were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital after their condition deteriorated, the OC said.
The truck sped away after the accident, he added.
