They held a human chain in Dhaka under the platform of ‘Garments Workers and Industry Protection National Mancha’ and demanded justice for the four-year-old tragedy that shook the world.

Over 1100 workers were killed under the debris on April 24, 2013, incident.

Abul Hossain, Tapan Saha, Bahraine Sultan Bahar, Abdul Wahed, Shafiqul Islam and Shahidullah Badal spoke at the human chain.

They also demanded observing April 24 as mourning day and ensure a safe working place.

Saha said the government could not ensure trial of the accused in four years. He alleged that it was “slowly progressing”.

“Forty-one have been charge sheeted, but only four including building owner Sohel Rana was arrested. If the government was willing, they could complete it long before”.

Three different cases –one murder case, one violation of building code and another by Anti-Corruption Commission – have been filed after the building collapse.

Lower court started the trial last year on July 8.
