Mymensingh man hacked to death

A carpenter from the Phulbarhia district of Mymensingh has been hacked to death over a land dispute.

The deceased Abdul Motaleb (35) was the son of Abdul Kader from the Achim Union of Patuli village.

The OC of Phulbarhia Police Station, Rifat Khan Rajib, informed bdnews24.com that Motaleb was hacked to death near Boratola Bazar on Sunday night.

“The police have reasons to believe the murder was due to a previous enmity .”

Anowar Parvez Swapan, a cousin of Motaleb, said : “For a long time Motaleb had a property dispute with locals Abdus Samad, 'Saiful' and Fazlul Huq. The dispute was the main motive behind the murder.”
