Van puller killed by bus in Gazipur accident
A rickshaw van puller has been killed by a bus after a road accident in Gazipur.

The accident occurred on Sunday morning on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in the town’s Bhogra area, said Naojor Highway Police Outpost SI Md Abdus Salam.
The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Tariful Islam, who hails from the Chandukhana area of Nilphamari and rented a residence in Gazipur’s Bashan Road area.
Tariful was thrown onto the road when the bus struck his rickshaw van from behind on the Bhogra Bypass intersection around 6am.
“The bus then ran over Tariful and sped away,” said the police official. “He died on the spot.”
