PM Hasina leaves Germany for Dhaka after attending security conference, meeting Merkel

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Munich for Dhaka after a two-day visit to Germany.

The aircraft carrying the prime minister and her entourage departed Munich International Airport at 9:45 pm local time on Saturday (3:45 am BDsT on Sunday).

Bangladesh Ambassador in Germany Imtiaz Ahmed saw her off at the airport.

She is expected to reach Dhaka Sunday night after a six-hour stopover in Abu Dhabi.  

She reached Germany on Friday to join the 53rd Munich Security Conference. She is the first Bangladeshi head of state or government to join the conference.

On Saturday, she held a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and took part in a panel discussion.

On Friday, she attended a reception organised by German Awami League.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali, PM's Principal Secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque, Home Secretary Kamaluddin Ahmed and PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim were in the PM's entourage.
