Suspected robber killed in ‘shootout’ at Dhaka's Dhamrai, say police
A suspected robber has been killed in what the police describe as a ‘shootout’ at Dhaka’s Dhamrai Upazila.

Police said they had taken the victim, Abu Hanif, with them in a raid to recover arms at Khagura village early on Monday.
"As soon as police reached there, the robbers opened fire forcing the police to retaliate. Hanif was caught in the crossfire," said Dhamrai police's Inspector Deepak Kumar Saha.
He said the 45-year-old died immediately.
Police have claimed to find a firearm and sharp weapons on the spot.
