Additional District Judge Md Ziaur Rahman announced the verdict on Monday in presence of the convict Abdul Munib, 25.

Prosecutor Jobrul Hoque said police arrested ‘Momin’, a member of the banned militant outfit, on June 14, 2009 with bullets and Jihadi books in his possession.

“Following Momin’s statement, police arrested Munib from his home on June 18 and seized one shooter gun and three rounds of bullets from his possession,” he said.

SI Mizanur Rahman filed the case against Munib the same day with Shibganj Police Station under the two acts.

Investigation officer SI 'Siddiq' submitted the chargesheet to the court on Jul 8 the same year.

The verdict came after seven years of court proceedings, said the advocate.
