He says people with information about the chairman’s location will be rewarded
The foreign ministry said in a statement that Ali chaired the proceedings for 90 minutes on Friday before handing over the chairmanship to President of the 71st UNGA session Peter Thomson.
Bangladesh was earlier elected as one of the Vice Presidents of the Assembly. It is also the member of the General Committee of the UN.
As chair, Ali welcomed the presidents of Yemen and Haiti, and the prime minister of Luxembourg and invited them to address the Assembly. He also thanked the president of the Union of the Comoros for his statement.
UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson was also present at the podium with the Bangladesh foreign minister.
