Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) published the photos (Parental guidance is advised for juveniles to see the photo of bloodied bodies) in their Facebook page on Tuesday evening.

They urged the people to message information on the persons in the photos, if any, to the inbox of their Facebook page.

Security forces have strengthened anti-militant drives since the terror attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia earlier in July.

A hideout of militants, suspected to be used by the Gulshan cafe attackers, was recently found at Shewrhaparha in Mirpur.

Police launched the raid on the house named ‘Taj Manzil’ in Kalyanpur early on Tuesday.

The suspected militants had rented a flat on the fourth floor of the building.

A SWAT team stormed the flat, killing the nine ‘militants’. One other was captured alive.

He has been identified as Rakibul Hasan from Bogra.

He has claimed to be the chef of the suspected militants and that he was heading for Syria.

Seven of the bodies were found on the corridor of the fourth floor while the two others in the flat.

They have not been identified yet.

DMP chief Asaduzzaman Mia said the ‘militants’, aged from 20 to 24, appeared educated.

Seven identity cards of two universities have been found in the flat. “We are checking their validity,” he added.

The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
