Highway mishaps in Manikganj kill three, at least 15 injured
Two men on a motorcycle have been killed in a collision with a bus on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway, while, in a separate incident, a bus went off the road, killing one and injuring at least 15 others, police say.

The mishaps in Manikganj took place on Saturday morning.
“A Dhaka-bound bus ran over a motorcycle around 8am at Shibalay Upazila, killing the riders on the spot,” said highway police Sergeant Yamin-ud-Dowla.
The victims have been identified as Alamgir Hossain, 26, and Rajibul Islam, 28, said the police officer.
Meanwhile, on the same highway, near the district town’s Muljan area, a bus veered off the road while overtaking another vehicle.
“A passenger of the bus, identified as Shahidul Islam, died on the spot, while at least 15 others have been injured,” said Sergeant Dowla.
He added that the bus had been seized, but its driver managed to flee.
