Signature campaign to raise voice against drug abuse launched in Dhaka

Youths under a UN initiative have launched a signature campaign to raise voice against drug abuse.

The campaign launched on Monday in Dhaka marked the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observed across the world on Sunday.

According to the UN Information Centre that took the initiative jointly with the UN’s voluntary youth and student movement, UNYSAB, and an NGO LIFE, the campaign will continue both by online media usage and in different academic institutions.

Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Mahmud Hassan inaugurated the campaign at an event moderated by UNIC Officer-In-Charge M. Moniruzzaman.

Students from different universities were also present to share their views and pledged to work as ambassadors against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The UN Secretary-General’s message on the Day and SDGs Bangla post cards were distributed among the participants.
