BNP leader Mahbubur Rahman, injured in Dinajpur crash, brought to Dhaka CMH

BNP Standing Committee Member and former army chief Mahbubur Rahman, who was injured in a road accident in Dinajpur, has been admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.

The retired lieutenant general was undergoing a medical check-up, family members said on Sunday.
 
Rahman’s brother-in-law BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is with him at CMH.
 
Rahman was brought to CMH around 3:30pm in a helicopter from Dinajpur.
 
He was admitted to Zia Heart Foundation hospital in Dinajpur with head injury after the accident on Saturday afternoon. His wife Nazzin Mahbub was given first aid.
 
The hospital’s Doctor Badrul Ahsan, referring to a CT scan report of Rahman, had said the BNP leader was out of danger.
 
Mahbubur Rahman was on his way from his in-law's house in Thakurgaon to Syedpur Airport to catch a flight to Dhaka when the accident took place.
