The high commission said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader invited him to visit the project.
The deputy high commissioner and other diplomats of the high commission accompanied him during the visit on Saturday.
Once completed, the bridge would contribute to GDP growth and reduce the travel time from western Bangladesh and India to Dhaka and other parts of the country.
“The project was testimony to the courage and determination of the government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and people of Bangladesh to move ahead with progress and development for the welfare of the people of the country,” said a high commission statement.
