The Public Service Commission said in a media release on Wednesday that 33 had been appointed Upazila/Thana election officers and 48 would be sub-registrars.

The results of three candidates have been stayed owing to inconsistencies in the information they had earlier provided.

They have been instructed to submit necessary documents to the commission’s investigation committee.

The PSC is appointing those who did not get cadre posts after passing BCS as first and second class non-cadre officials under the Non-cadre Posts Recruitment (Special) Rules, 2010.

A total of 8,763 candidates qualified at the 34th BCS written test and viva. The PSC recommended appointing 2,159 of them to several cadres.
