In a rejoinder, the company's proprietor Ramesh Chandra Ghosh said reports linking 'Shyamoli Paribahan' to goons who allegedly threatened TRTC official LJ Rokhum and snatched a road permit from him were not true.

"We are in no way connected with all this and we want a proper investigation to unravel the truth," Ghosh said in the rejoinder.

He said Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) chairman and BRTC's director (engineering) had been duly informed.

Ghosh said his company runs buses between India and Bangladesh on several routes and have earned a reputation for their standard of service.

Earlier, Tripura's Transport Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik and other TRTC officials had told the media in India and Bangladesh that TRTC official Rokhum had complained of the snatching of his road permit by goons.

He said Rokhum had said the goons claimed to be working for ‘Shyamoli' and that TRTC should not run its buses on the Agartala-Dhaka route.

Bhowmik said he had spoken to a first secretary in the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Monday asking him to inform the Bangladesh authorities for ensuring security for Rokhum and the TRTC bus.
