She gave her written statement to the Speedy Trial Tribunal No 3 of Dhaka on Tuesday.

Besides pleading not guilty, she said in the statement that she would not present any defence witness.

Judge Sayeed Ahmed set Oct 20 to hear argument, Oishee’s lawyer Mahbub Hasan Rana told bdnews24.com.

“Oishee told the court that she was not in the house when the murders took place and she doesn’t know who the murderers are,” Rana said.

The court ended recording statements of State witnesses on Oct 8. There are total 57 witnesses in the case.

On Aug 16, 2013, Special Branch Inspector Mahfuzur and his wife Swapna were stabbed to death at their rented flat at Chamelibagh in Malibagh.

Police recovered their bodies two days after the crime. The same day, schoolgirl Oishee, 19, surrendered at the Paltan Police Station along with house help 'Sumi'.

During interrogation, Oishee gave a statement saying she had killed her parents with the help of Sumi.

But she later pleaded for retraction claiming police had tortured and forced her into giving that statement.

Her two friends Asaduzzaman Jony and Mizanur Rahman Rony were also accused in the case filed by her uncle Md Mashiur Rahman.

Mashiur Rahman said he did not think Oishee murdered her parents.
Police have accused Sumi, Jony and Rony of abetment.
Underage Sumi was released on bail from the Juvenile Correction Centre at Gazipur and her mother was given her custody.
Rony was also freed on bail while Jony is in jail now. Both Jony and Rony were present in the court on Tuesday.
Sumi is facing trial in a juvenile court.
