Melba Pria, non-resident ambassador to Bangladesh, conveyed this to Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Wednesday when she called on him after presenting her credentials to President Md Abdul Hamid.

She also met state minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam on Wednesday.

The foreign ministry said Ali assured her of full cooperation.

Bangladesh is the largest contributor of troops to UN peacekeeping missions.
The ambassador praised Bangladesh’s “invaluable contribution” to promote global peace and security.
Ali invited the newly appointed Mexican Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu to visit Dhaka at a mutually convenient time.
The state minister highlighted the trade and investment potentials that existed between the two countries especially in the readymade garment sector, ship-building and pharmaceuticals, the foreign ministry said.
