Four people killed in Munshiganj road accident

Four people have been killed after a pickup van lost control and overturned on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Munshiganj’s Gazaria Upazila.

The accident at Bhaberchar’s Bhitikandi on Wednesday afternoon also left three others including the vehicle’s driver injured, police said.
 
They were admitted at several local hospitals.
 
Gazaria police OC Md Hedayetul Islam Bhuiyan said the Comilla-bound vehicle plunged into the road island after losing control and turned turtle.
 
The four on the back of the pickup van died on the spot, he said.
 
Bhuiyan said police seized the vehicle and have kept the bodies at the Bhaberchar outpost for the time being.
