Sources in the BSF told bdnews24.com officials of both the sides on Monday chalked out the agenda for discussions in the six-day-long Border Co-ordination Conference.
This is the first director general-level Border Co-ordination Conference after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh delegation is headed by Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed, Director General of BGB. DK Pathak, Director General of BSF, is leading a 24-member Indian delegation.
Senior officials at the home and external affairs ministries and other law-enforcing agencies will be present during the talks.
Trans-border crimes, FICN, activities of Indian insurgent groups based in Bangladesh, prevention of illegal migration, joint efforts for effective implementation of CBMP and confidence building measures will be discussed during the talks.
