Six in Jessore, three in Dhaka arrested on charges of leaking HSC exam questions

Nine people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in question paper leak of HSC and technical education board exams.

Detective Branch Joint Commissioner Monirul Islam at a press briefing on Monday said they arrested six in Jessore in a Sunday night raid.
                          
The arrestees Sumon Ahmed, Abdur Rahman, Abdur Rahman alias Liton, SM Tanvir Alam alias Rizvi, Jony Rahman and Arafat Hossain are students of Jessore Polytechnic Institute and another private polytechnic school.
 
DB officer Islam said they admitted to collecting all the question papers for the examinations under technical education board in the current session.
 
“They supplied the question papers before the August session to the acquaintances through the internet,” he said.
 
“Among the question paper recovered from them, questions of Programming in C and Entrepreneurship for 5th, 7th and 6th part supplementary examinations, 2015 correspond with the original question papers.”
 
He said these exams were scheduled to be held on Aug 2 and Aug 13 but the board cancelled them.
 
In Dhaka, three people were arrested on Sunday night allegedly for leaking HSC question paper.
 
A member of examinations committee at Golam Mostafa Model College in Demra and two teachers from another college were detained in the raid.
 
Earlier, six people were arrested in the capital on charges of making money by propagating HSC question paper leak on Facebook. 
 
They allegedly took money from HSC students by promising to temper their answer sheets and supply them with question papers.
