Anwara Sufia Islam, wife of former information minister M Shamsul Islam, has died.

She passed away at 11:30am on Wednesday at the United Hospital, having suffered ailments, her family said.
The 82-year old left behind her BNP Standing Committee Member husband and two sons.
Her funeral prayers will be held at Gulshan’s Azad Mosque on Wednesday afternoon.
She will be buried at their family graveyard in Munshiganj;s Sukhbashpur, her eldest son Sayeeful Islam, former president of the DCCI, told bdnews24.com.
Leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliates paid tributes to her at their Baridhara residence.
Party chief Khaleda Zia has mourned her death and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
Former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, former minister Tariqul Islam and former Dhaka mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka have mourned her in separate statements.
