Assailants have killed a Marma youth at Laxmichharhi in Khagrachharhi.

The incident occurred in Hajachharhi on Shilachharhi-Laxmichharhi road on Friday morning.
Parbatya Zila Parishad member Remrachai Chowdhury said the deceased, Mansila Marma, who made a living by carrying people on his bike, was from Shilachharhi.
Laxmichharhi Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman said the miscreants accosted Mansila when he was on his way from Shilachharhi to the Upazila Sadar around 9:30am.
They hacked and shot at him, he said.
Doctors at Laxmichharhi Upazila Health Complex declared him dead when he was taken there, he said.
The police official also said body had been sent to the Khagrachharhi Modern Hospital for post mortem examination.
The process of filing a case was underway.
