PM mourns Hasna Hamid, the mother of state minister Bipu
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has condoled the death of Hasna Hamid, mother of State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid Bipu.

Hasna Hamid, wife of late Awami league leader Hamidur Rahman, passed away at a Singapore hospital, said prime minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon.
She was 76 years old and was suffering from cancer.
Hamidur Rahman was the treasurer of Awami League before 1971. Later he was elected a Member of Parliament.
In a statement released by Prime Minister Hasina, it was stated that “Hasna Hamid was one of the women leaders who worked from behind the scenes during the freedom movement.”
Ashraful Alam Khokon said the Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at the Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zohr prayers on Sunday.
After a second Janaza at Keraniganj and a third Janaza at Narayanganj, she will be buried at the family graveyard at Fatulla, Narayanganj.
