Former Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Emajuddin Ahamed said this after meeting Khaleda Zia at her office on Saturday.

“Considering the situation, his body is being brought to the country the soonest. Decisions on the other matters will be taken by the family,” he said.

The news of Coco’s death in Malaysia arrived hours after the BNP called a 36-hour shutdown from Sunday.

Asked whether there will be any change in BNP’s course of action, Emajuddin said he did not discuss the matter, as she was very upset.

The BNP Chairperson’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan said in the afternoon that no decision on Coco's burial had been taken.

Former MP ABM Ashrafuddin Nijan said Coco's body had been kept in the mortuary of the University Malaya Medical Centre.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Malaysia’s national mosque, Nagara, in Kuala Lumpur after the Zuhr prayer on Sunday, according to the BNP chief’s press wing official Shamsuddin Didar.

On learning of Coco’s death, his mother-in-law and other relatives rushed to the Khaleda's Gulshan office, where she has been staying since Jan 3.
