Miscreants hack to death four of same family in Mymensingh

A local labour leader and the members of his family have been murdered at Bhaluka Upazila in Mymensingh on Tuesday.

Bhaluka Police Station's sub-inspector Shamim Al Mamum said that the incident occurred at the Lobonkota Village of the Upazila's Habirbari Union sometime past midnight.

"Miscreants hacked the Sramik Dal's Habirbari unit General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Bachchu, his wife, and two daughters," he said.

Sramik Dal is the BNP's labour affiliate.

Police have rushed to the spot, said sub-inspector Mamun.

Details of the incident are awaited.
