Customs authority at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has detained an old man carrying 3.8 kilograms of gold.

The person has been identified as AKM Golam Kahir Shikdar, 66, who flew back from Malayasia. He is a resident of Munshiganj district.
Assistant Commissioner Jewela Khanam of Airport customs told bdnews24.com that Golam Kabir was detained at the Airport’s green channel on Saturday noon. Two gold bars of 1kg each and four of 100g each along with few other gold bars were recovered from him.
Legal steps were being taken against the detainee, she said.
