Police say up to 15 outsiders attacked a room in RMCH's Nurunnabi Hall on Friday night.

The injured have been identified as students of the 54th batch--'Rashedul', 'Faisal', Abdul Alim, 'Nahid', and 52nd batch's Tamim Islam.

Rashed and Faisal are being treated at the RMCH.

Rajparha police OC Mehedi Hasan said Rasel and Faisal had a brawl with three outsiders on Friday night in front of the Ayesha Siddiqua Hostel.

Several RMCH students showed up on the spot and took the outsiders to Nurunnabi Hall's room 104.

They thrashed the youths before letting them go.

Minutes later a group of youths attacked the room leaving five students injured.

Agitated RMCH students laid a siege on the administrative building on Saturday and demanded steps to prevent outsiders from entering the campus.

OC Hasan said they were investigating the incident.

"We raided several spots on Friday night to nab the attackers but none could be arrested," he added.

RMCH Principal Khandker Abu Raihan said, "We are taking measures to ensure outsiders cannot enter the campus. Moreover, we've asked police to bolster security."
