A man has been caught while trying to smuggle 20 gold bars inside a clothes iron at Dhaka airport.

The passenger, Hashim Molla, arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal Internaitonal from Kuala Lampur in Malaysia around 9pm Saturday, Customs Intelligence Assistant Commissioner, Abu Yusuf told bdnews24.com.
Further details of the arrested person were awaited.
Officials checked Molla after finding his movements suspicious at the airport’s green channel. They broke open the iron in his luggage and found 20 gold bars, weighing upto two kilograms.
The haul is worth around Tk 10 million, said the customs official.
