Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said on Wednesday that RAB would be given seven acres of land on the bank of the Buriganga River.
After attending a meeting of River Protection Task Force at the Secretariat, he said marine police would also get three-acres of land in the same area.
“I’ve asked the (Dhaka district) deputy commissioner and BIWTA (Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority) chairman to measure and earmark some land for RAB-10 and marine police on the riverbank. We’ll allot seven-acre land to RAB and three-acre to marine police,” he said.
