Her first official visit following return to power witnessed the signing of several agreements including that on security cooperation, extradition, and recruiting workers.

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying her touched down at the Shahjalal International Airport just after Monday midnight.

She left the Dubai International Airport in the evening for Dhaka where UAE's Minister of Social Affairs Marrriam Mohammad Khalfan Al Roomi saw her off. Bangladesh Ambassador Mohammad Imran and senior officials of the two counties were present at the airport.

During the tour, Hasina held meetings with top UAE officials and attended a reception by Bangladeshi community in Abu Dhabi.

In a meeting with the prime minister, Dubai Port World responded positively to surveying the possibility of building a deep-sea port at Patuakhali’s Payra.

Apart from three agreements, a MoU, too, was signed for recruiting Bangladeshi female workers for 14 types of jobs during her visit.
