    Prime Minister to brief media on Friday

    Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, just back from a tour of the US and the UK, will hold a press conference on Friday.

    According to her press wing the briefing will take place at 4pm at her official residence, the Ganabhaban.

    Hasina is set to address the press amid a furious controversy triggered by her telecoms minister Abdul Latif Siddque's comments rubbishing the practice of Hajj and Tabligh .  

    Siddique has been dropped from the cabinet and may also lose his party membership.
