Sylhet rail links with Dhk, Ctg restored

Sylhet's rail links with Dhaka and Chittagong resumed after being snapped for six hours due to derailment of an oil-carrying train at South Surma on Tuesday morning.

Sylhet Railway Station Manager Md Abdur Razzak said that rail connections resumed around 3.30pm after a rescue train removed the derailed wagon.

One of the wagons of the cargo train, carrying oil, jumped the tracks at South Surma’s Moglabazar area at 9:30am.

The train was going to Sylhet from Chittagong.
