Five children have been rescued from being trafficked to India at Jessore’s Sharsha Upazila.

A woman, Roxana Khatun, resident of a Benapole village, has been arrested in this connection.
The children, all boys below the age of ten, are also from Benapole.
She had taken the children from Benapole to Navaron Satkhira intersection, said Benapole Port Police OC Apurbo Hasan, quoting witnesses.
“Local people became suspicious when two of the boys began crying while being put on a bus to Satkhira. They beat up Roxana and handed her to the police.”
The children – Rana, 8, Munna, 6, Mamun, 9, Sumon, 8 and Hasan 7, were in the custody of the Benapole Port Police.
