Khaleda invited to PM’s Iftar
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to have Iftar at Ganabhaban.

The event will be held in honour of politicians on Jul 17.
The invitation for it was sent to the BNP chief through the prime minister’s Protocol Officer Sheikh Akhtar Hossain, who handed it to Khaleda’s special assistant Simul Biswas on Thursday.
The ladies, who head Bangladesh’s two major parties, the Awami League and the BNP, rarely meet but exchange formal greetings ahead of days such as Eid or Pahela Baishakh, the Bengali new year.
Khaleda invited the prime minister at her Iftar for politicians at Bashundhara Convention Centre on Jul 2 but Hasina did not attend.
The BNP chief had turned down another Iftar invitation by the prime minister last year.
