CHT Commission attack decried
Three organisations of indigenous people took out a rally and staged demonstrations in Khagrachharhi, demanding punishment to those who attacked the CHT Commission.

The Gonotantrik Jubo Forum, Pahari Chhatra Parishad, and Hill Women’s Federation jointly held the rally around 11am at Swanirvar. Later, they held a meeting at the Chengi Square area.
Pahari Chhatra Parishad district committee member secretary Ripon Chakma, organisation secretary Ratan Smriti Chakma and central general secretary of Hill Women’s Federation Madri Chakma addressed in the meeting.
They demanded exemplary punishment for the attackers.
They alleged democratic rights were being violated in the CHT and law enforcement agencies were harassing ordinary people instead of playing a neutral role.
The CHT commission convoy came under attack in Rangamati Saturday. In a press conference in Chittagong, commission’s co-chair Sultana Kamal blamed the attack on an organisation called ‘Sama Odhikar’.
