Twenty-one children from across the country are attending the five-day workshop, co-organised by BRAC and bdnews24.com at Ashkona BRAC Learning Centre.

Several participants said they were learning a lot from the workshop.

They expressed their satisfaction at getting the opportunity to work for Hello, the world’s first Bangla news site for child journalists, run by bdnews24.com.

‘Jyoti’, coming from Dinajpur, said: “I’m feeling good thinking that we can focus on those who are around us, not only on ourselves.”

The children have come also from Kushtia, Jamalpur, Chittagong, Khagrhachharhi, Kishoreganj, Natore, Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi, Lalmonirhat, Netrokona, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Tangail, Manikganj, Satkhira, Chuadanga and Dhaka.
BRAC education programme senior manager Rashida Parvin said they organised the workshop as a pilot project to work with bdnews24.com in a broad spectrum to help the children flourish their talent.
Hello coordinator Nahar Mawla and BRAC ADP project manager Morzina Khatun conducted the workshop, which will continue until June 29.
bdnews24.com journalists will teach the children journalism at the workshop.
