2 killed in Gazipur road mishap
Two people were killed and five injured when a truck rammed three-wheeler human hauler on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Kaliakoir Upazila, Gazipur district, on Friday.

The dead were identified as Joynal Abedin, 35, of Dhantara village of Dhamrai Upazila in Dhaka, and Wahid Ali, 40, of the same area. They were vegetable vendors.
Police said that the accident occurred at around 8am when a Chandra-bound human hauler packed with passengers, locally known as tempo, overturned on being hit by a truck from behind near a forest check post at Hartakitala, leaving seven tempo passengers injured.
Two of the injured passengers died while being taken to the Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex, sub-inspector of the Konabari Highway Police Outpost Alamgir SIddique told bdnews24.com.
The bodies have been sent to the Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
